So....Welcome to my new Travel section of my blog! I feel like I travel a good bit and like to share my experiences with you all like in my Cancún post, as well as my trip to the Lakeridge Winery, so that's exactly what this section is dedicated to! I hope you guys enjoy this new addition. :)
So my family vacation was to Atlantis in Paradise Island, Bahamas. Both my sisters came, we invited boyfriends and had a blast!
They have the most awesome water slides, one where you can even slide through a tank of sharks! There's body slides, tube slides, a huge lazy river with rapids in between. They have a number of pools as well as a place to go snorkeling right on the resort. Oh but don't worry they have a beach too....beautiful white sand, the water is as clear at the sky on a cloudless day, and it's always breezy. Ugh, just typing this makes me want to go back!
We stayed in the Coral Towers where our pool was just steps away and not to mention a fun cave with sting rays, turtles and more exotic fish to walk through on our way there! But they have multiple pools throughout the resort that are each a little bit unique.
And if you don't want to lay out at the pool or get a tan on the beach there are TONS of excursions to do! Everything from swimming with pigs or dolphins, to snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming with sharks and more! We went out snorkeling out in the ocean. Our instructors were great and we even got to see an old ship wreck! It's safe to say you will never get bored there.
When it's time to wind down and fill up, there's food at every corner. We did one of the dining plans and got breakfast and dinner each day.....that was MORE than enough for us! Each meal is huge and some of the most unique and delicious food you'll taste!
When you're not eating there's tons of other things to do, too. You can take a ride in the ocean on a banana boat, you can take a walk through the aquarium where you'll see sharks, dolphins, sting rays and more. Take a jet ski down the entire beach. Or even enjoy a massage at their luxury spa like my sisters and I did.
Come night time it's whole other world as well! There's an awesome casino with two different bars in it. There are clubs on either corner of the casino. Shopping galore when you go through the main tower, and a marina where you can stare at all the fabulous yachts that come through and wish you were sailing away on one of them!
This was our 3rd time there and I still feel like I haven't seen or done everything that Atlantis has to offer. I definitely need to make a trip back! I think next time I'm going to do the excursion to swim with pigs, and I'm definitely going back to the Dolphin Cay to swim with dolphins. Find out all Atlantis has to offer here! And stay tuned for a video from our family vacation to come soon!
