One year ago today....AHHHH!!! What an experience!!
So a year ago today Candy Crush aired and we got to share this super cool experience with our friends and family. And then they got to see us CRUSH IT and win $100,000!!! So if you've been wondering what I did with the money, well....I'm about to tell you. (And no we didn't go on a world tour trip like we said lol my partner and I are no longer together, but no worries it's all good! :) Since the show I'm no longer one of the 44 million Americans in student loan debt. I've paid off all of my college loans, wahoo! Most people say they wouldn't have used all the money on stupid loans and bought a new car or something but hey, that's one less debt hanging over my head, right!? After eradicating that debt, I packed myself up and used a bit of the left over money to help move myself across the country to Los Angeles where I'm pursuing some life long dreams! I couldn't be happier where I'm at and I'm so grateful that this opportunity lead me to another world of new opportunities. The show was so much fun to shoot, and not to mention I got to meet one of my faves, Mario Lopez! I'm so blessed to have had this experience and feel even more blessed to have won! As for everyone who thinks I'm rich...not quite the case lol. But I am debt free so I'll take that at least!! If you watched the show at this time last year leave me a comment and let me know. :) Thanks for reading peeps! xox Sammie

So how cute is this romper, right!? You probably saw it on my Instagram in this post, but I wanted to share it with you guys again because it fits so well! This romper is from Fashion Nova and is in a size extra small. The long sleeves actually aren't too long, the shorts part cuts off right after my booty so it's a super cute length, and it's tight enough around my ribs that it's not going to fall down! It's called the "Small World Smocked Romper" in yellow, however it's out of stock right now. Sad day! :( BUT, they have another romper just like it in black with polka dots (ooohhh) which I know you'll love! You can find it right here! So I also wanted to update you guys on everything that's been going on. I feel like I just recently started posting on my social media again and sharing with you all in my stories....it's been a bit hectic! If you didn't read my last post, or haven't been able to tell, I did move across the country to Los Angeles! The first week was spent apartment hunting and tons of working. Once I found a place with my new roomie it was all about moving in, getting everything set up, building my furniture (which I did ALL by myself thank you very much!) and of course once again, working. It's been non stop, and I'm crazy busy, and crazy tired. I wouldn't trade it all for anything, though! I'm working on some super fun projects, (thanks Jae & shout out to the police officer yesterday for the cameo) and I've met a ton of new, creative people so far (shout out to Vivian for doing her thing and hooking that up!), and I've even found a church to attend with the kindest people! (I'll be there next week I swear lol) I also have more #theshortgirldiaries in the works! With my move, and driving across the country for a week straight, and then having to move in to my apartment and everything I've been, well, busy to say the least. But I'm finally getting settled, I'm getting comfortable in my new place with my old and new friends, and I'm so ready to work work work work work work! Can't wait to keep creating some awesome content for you guys! Stay tuned! And as always, thanks for reading peeps.
xox Sammie HI GUYS IT'S BEEN SO LONG SINCE I'VE POSTED OMG AHHH!!!!So hey everyone!!! I know it's been forever since I've posted anything but I've been a little busy (if you haven't already seen my social media). I hadn't talked about it in my new YouTube Series yet but in case you didn't know....I MOVED!!! I finally did it!! Finally....FINALLY!! I moved across the country from Orlando, FL back to Los Angeles, CA and I couldn't be happier! I'm finally here after years of waiting and wanting to move, I've officially done it. WOOOO! So why'd I move? Well you see, I lived in Los Angeles in 2015 during my second to last semester in college. I interned at a production company, I worked as a background actor, and I studied with my acting coach regularly! I loved every second of it! I had to of course return to Florida to finish my degree, and I ended up getting a job in Orlando and staying after graduation. Fast forward to a year and a half later, I'm single, my awesome company is letting me work remote, my lease was up, and it was the perfect time to move back out! So here I am, living, working, studying, and taking it all back in. I'M HERE GUYS!! So what was it like moving across the country? Was it as awful as everyone said it would be? Was it just as tedious and boring and long and terrible as you think? Well really, no it wasn't! One of my friends from college named Olivia, who now lives in Vegas, flew to Orlando just to drive out with me. (What a bomb friend #amright!?) So we left Orlando on a Friday and drove 9.5 hours to New Orleans, stopping in Tallahassee along the way to meet Lydia - btw you're awesome girl! We stayed in New Orleans, had an amazing dinner at the Oceana Grill right next to Bourbon Street which we of course visited afterwards. Let me tell you, for my first time in New Orleans it was everything I could think of and more, especially only being there for maybe 18 hours! I experienced real Bourbon Street with all of the hustle and bustle and smelly trash, and icey drinks, and eclectic people and all it's other glory! Needless to say, I need a trip back! We were up early the next day to head 8 hours to Austin, TX. We got there super late, but just in time to make it out with our matching shirts for St. Patty's Day! What honestly made Austin so fun was that we stayed with Olivia's deaf friends. I didn't know sign language, have never really hung out with deaf people before, and was nervous I wasn't going to fit in. They were patient and kind with me communicating, they were HILARIOUS, and we had a blast!! I learned sign language, made some new awesome friends, and have so much more of an appreciation for the deaf community! I made it a point all the way from Austin to our next destination to learn the alphabet and a few other basic terms....and I did it! Olivia has the proof. :) I'm no expert but I'm still learning and can't wait until Olivia takes me back to see all my new friends so I can show them everything I learned! After a crazy St. Patty's night, we ended up sleeping through our alarms (whoops!), and leaving a little later than we anticipated. This next leg was our longest one too. 14 hours to Scottsdale, Arizona! We broke it up into 3 parts, alternating driving, and it really wasn't too bad. We got along well because we both craved tacos the entire trip and had to stop to go to the bathroom at the exact same time (really lol). We got in around 11, stayed with another one of Olivia's friends, and crashed. We were exhausted but greeted by a comfy bed and warm shower waiting! We had brunch at cute little local breakfast place, and headed on to our 4.5 hour journey to Las Vegas! Vegas baby!!! Thank goodness I had the best hosts who made my trip so memorable. I met Olivia's man, Dez, who's a country singer. They took me to Gilley's for locals night where I also learned to 2-step and line dance! Let's just say I've got a LOT more practicing to do! We were also on the radio in Vegas talking about our cross country trip! How cool is that!? In Vegas I saw the strip, saw lots of gorgeous mountains, made friends with a little old woman named Pamalee, and no I didn't gamble. I figured I won enough money last year and didn't want to risk losing any of it! Haha. There was also something with a burrito but we won't go in to that. ;) After a few crazy nights in Las Vegas I finally packed my car up for the last time and drove myself out to Los Angeles. Four hours later I was in the City of Angels. I was back. Right when I pulled in I was stopped by not only traffic but the smell of weed. At that point, I couldn't have been happier to be sitting in traffic because I was finally back! With no departure date. No return ticket home. I'm officially moved to Los Angeles people!!! My drive was eye opening, it was fun, it wasn't as tiring as I thought, and it couldn't have been better in my opinion. I'm so ready to be here, to work my butt off, and achieve all of my dreams!
I hope you guys will keep following along in my journey, and thank you for supporting me up until now! Stay tuned to hear about my crazy adventures here in Los Angeles! I can't wait to share with you all! And don't forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel for #theshortgirldiaries! Thanks so much for reading peeps! As always thanks for reading peeps! xox Sammie As I sat at the airport anxiously awaiting my flight to Chicago to see some of my favorite people, I had a wonderful little encounter. A woman who was on her way to the Penn State bowl game in Arizona sat down next to me at the charging station and we began chatting. We got in to our personal lives and where we were from and where this flight was taking us. We also got in to her back story of how she was married for 33 years to a complete asshole (her words not mine) and that she stayed just for her children. She said they finally split up a few years ago and she’s just been so happy, traveling and living life ever since. She was on her way to the Penn State bowl game with her new man. She told me they met earlier that year, completely by accident, and she couldn’t be happier. The woman said, “When you least expect it, the best things happen. Just live your life, and enjoy it.” Live your life and enjoy it. Like BOOM. You right airport lady. I wanted to write a post about my 2017 and what I’m looking forward to in 2018. This woman really made me think even harder about my past year, and what I’m doing to better myself and my life in 2018. She said she was upset that she didn't just live life earlier on. And I was questioning why I just haven't been doing that too? Like WTF right!? 2017 for me was filled with some of the highest highs and lowest lows. On the low, I went through more tough times than I ever have this year. On the contrary, I also came into some financial freedom which not many 23-year-olds can say. After all of the hard times, I'm so ready to focus on me, myself, and I this year! My word of the year for 2018 is, drumroll please...... EXPERIENCE.I lost out on a lot of experiences I should have had in the last year and half or so. This year, I won't let anything or anyone get in the way of that! I want to enjoy new travels, new friendships, maybe new foods and more! Just like airport lady said (just realized I never got her name lol), I need to just live my life. I refuse to miss out on any other experiences that I should have otherwise had.. I've never been happier to be by myself, being able to make my own decisions through life!
2018 has literally started out tremendously for me and we're only two days in. I cannot wait to see what this year has in store! And shout out to the my airport lady for giving me some extra motivation! What are your New Years resolutions? What do you want to accomplish this year? Let me know by commenting below! As always thank you for reading peeps! xox Sammie So Christmas and holiday parties are one of the most fun parts of the holiday season right? Absolutely! My company held their annual holiday party in downtown Orlando and it was honestly, too much fun! There were poker tables, blackjack tables, a speak easy, and a whiskey bar! It was a fabulous night and if you saw my Instagram or Snapchat (@sammielitten) stories, you could agree it looked like fun! But if you also saw my stories you're probably wondering about my outfit! This jumpsuit is from BooHoo Petite and only had some minor alterations made to it. I wore a pair of Steve Madden heels and some new jewelry from a branch off of a local store, Sophie and Trey, that's called Statements. You can get the exact jumpsuit by clicking HERE and good news, it's 50% off right now, AND free shipping on orders over $50! If you love this romper as much as me let me know by commenting on this post below! As always thanks for reading peeps!
xox Sammie So skirts are totally in right now and so are the ruffle sleeves! From jean skirts, to leather skirts, colored skirts and more. They're totally popular right now and I had to get in on it. Same with the ruffles.....I mean how cute are they!?
I love this outfit because it can be a totally cute date night outfit, as well as a casual brunch date outfit. And thankfully it's not too cold here (yet) to rock a skirt! This bodysuit and skirt are from Lulus, my shoes are Steve Madden, and my purse is from Nordstrom Rack. Let me know if you like this outfit by leaving a comment below! I love hearing from you all. :) And don’t forget to check out the Sammie Shop which is now live! As always thanks for reading peeps! xox Sammie I'm back guys! So sorry I've been MIA! I've had a lot going on in my personal life and been dealing with a bit so I've had to put my site on hold for a bit. I got some pretty angry comments after I wasn't able to get out my last #shortgirldiaries post and I just want everyone to know that my family is my number one priority and I put them above all. My relationships with my loved ones mean the world to me and when they're not completely perfect, I don't feel completely perfect. I've taken some time to tend to my family, and tend to my personal relationships, and I feel ready to get back to bringing you guys the best outfits and posts! So I'm sure some of you have heard of the singer Jessie James Decker, married to Eric Decker, has the most perfect kids, perfect life, ugh perfect everything! Well she created this line with Kora Rae and it's entirely too cute! They have the perfect pieces, and they even fit us petite girls as well! They aren't necessarily a petite clothing brand, but they offer extra small sizing, which fit me perfectly! This top that I'm wearing is the Falling For You Cropped Knit Wrap which is unfortunately not available on the site anymore. But I'm listing my top picks available now for you now! My shoes are linked HERE and my jeans are linked HERE and they're on sale! Shoes are Vince Camuto from Nordstrom Rack, and my jeans are from H&M! If you like this post feel free to share it or comment below! An all new #TheShortGirlDiaries is coming soon, promise! As always, thanks for reading peeps! xox Sammie *Photos done by @rosario.steph - click here* I still can't believe fall is coming so soon! Where did summer go!? The good thing about living in Florida is that it feels like summer for a lot longer, so I can keep wearing super cute dresses. This dress is from Tilly's by Volcom. It's a beautiful blush suede type mid-length dress. It cinches just above your waist line with makes it much more flattering. I definitely recommend it if you're in a place where it'll be warmer for the next few weeks. It's cute for brunch or a coffee date with the girls. Or wear it on that next day-date you and your crush are going on. You can shop this dress here and right now it's an extra 30% off an already marked down price! Where would you wear this dress to? Tell me by clicking the "comments" button at the top of this page! As always thanks for reading peeps, and stay tuned for an all new #theshortgirldiaries this week!
